Supervisor's Evaluation Due On Monday, May 23
Catholic Social Teaching calls every baptized person to the realization that we have a responsibility to become aware of the needs of others and do our best to meet those needs. The Christian Service elective is a course that puts Catholic Social Teaching into action. This is a course for students who wish to minister to others and reflect on the meaning of their work. Students in Christian Service fill essential roles in communities and agencies that serve people by meeting important needs such as food, shelter, education and health care. It is expected that the each student will serve in a manner that contributes to the placement environment and respects the dignity of the persons they serve. The course is base on a volunteer, supervised, placement chosen by the student and approved by the instructor. In order to ensure a significant contribution to those served, service must be done consistently and enthusiastically. At least three hours of service must be performed each week.
