This half-year senior course offers a practical program of legal education designed to engage students in a critical examination of their legal responsibilities and rights. Students will examine the various components of the criminal justice system and civil law. Students will have the opportunity to conduct discussions, research and will debate about practical legal problems, contemporary legal issues, and the consequences of breaking the law. Students will have the opportunity to explore careers in law enforcement and the legal system. An understanding of America's principles and legal system will assist students in developing good citizenship skills.
