A Special Time, Place and Spirit
How would you describe your coaching philosophy? "If we are not having fun, we should not be doing it. I like to empower our players to be the best they can be in everything they do - not just lacrosse. Sports teaches us life lessons every day that we will benefit from for the rest of our life."
Is there a particular personal athletic experience that has helped shape your coaching philosophy? "I was the recipient of the Thomas Watson Scholarship (academic) to Brown University. Thomas Watson Jr. - who was the Chairman and CEO of IBM at the time became my first ever mentor. His father was the founder of IBM and Mr. Watson taught me the power of Paying it Forward. Today we have a foundation in his honor called the Chain of Hands. Although this is not sports-related, it has been one of the biggest impacts on my life."
In your opinion, what is the advantage of being a Holy Trinity Titan athlete? "Our kids have the ability to play and contribute to all of our teams. On our lacrosse team, we have players who start for us who never played the game before. At other schools, they may never see the field. Here, they get to actually play and that's a big part of being part of a team."

What is your advice to current middle school student-athletes as they prepare for High School Athletics? "You can never start preparing too soon. Create proper habits as early as possible. Work as hard in the classroom as you do on the field. I just finished a book that will be going to the publisher shortly for final editing which talks about this subject and recruiting."
