Bishop John O. Barres will celebrate a Mass from St. Agnes Cathedral for all the Graduates of the Diocesan Elementary and High Schools.
The Mass will be available on CFN (Catholic Faith Network) Optimum Channel 29/137, Verizon FIOS TV Channel 296, Spectrum Channel 162/471, www.CFNtv.org, and on demand on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android, or by download the CFN iOS.

At this time, the roll call of Graduates will be take place, along with the Class President’s Address, Salutatory Address and the Valedictory Address. This all can be shared with your family and friends through a link to CFN YouTube and CFN Vimeo. The link will be provided via email and will also be available on the HT website.
In an effort to offer the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate each graduate’s accomplishments together as the Class of 2020, Holy Trinity Diocesan High School will host a modified in-person Graduation Ceremony and Awarding of Diplomas on Sunday, June 14, at 10:00 a.m. in the St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School Senior Parking Lot. This location was chosen due to the size of the parking lot and its ability to accommodate all of our graduates while complying with social distancing requirements (Please click on the attached link for driving directions https://stjohnthebaptistdhs.
Graduation Protocols for Sunday, June 14, 2020:
• When the students pick up their Caps and Gowns, they will also be receiving a personalized, laminated Graduate’s Admittance Card which they must bring to the ceremony. This admittance card is required to gain access to the St. John the Baptist parking lot and should be displayed on the car dashboard in the front window, passenger side.
• Graduates must report to St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School parking lot during the time period assigned (see below).
• Graduates and families must be wearing masks upon driving onto the property.
• Graduates must arrive dressed in their cap and gown with tassel to the right (see dress guidelines below).
• Graduates will proceed South on Beach Drive to the second entrance by the baseball field. You will need to show the personalized, laminated Graduate’s Admittance Card with the student’s name and parking spot number to security who will direct you to your designated parking space.
• One graduate per vehicle, one car only per graduate - no carpools allowed. No trucks, as it will obstruct the view of others.
• Graduates must be seated in the passenger side front seat.
• When directed, graduates only will exit their car and walk to the covered canopy and approach the stage. Family members are to remain seated in their cars and listen to the ceremony via the FM frequency on their car radio.
• Graduates will present their personalized, laminated Graduate’s Admittance Card to the speaker at the podium.
• Graduates will take a diploma case from the table. (Diplomas will be mailed in the near future)
• Graduates will pose for a picture while on stage. We have hired Island Photography to take professional photos of the graduates. These will be made available to you.
• Graduates will return to their vehicles. Cars can then return to their designated parking spot to listen to the rest of the ceremony on the FM frequency.
• Cars will exit as directed by Security following the ceremony.
• No cars are permitted on the property after the ceremony ends.
• We have developed strict guidelines for this ceremony that must be followed in order to ensure the safety of all.
• Please note that the school building will be closed and no facilities will be available.
Graduates are asked to report to the St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School Parking Lot during the following assigned times according to last name:
8:30 a.m. – 8:50 a.m. Charay Allison - Aaron Essen
8:50 a.m. – 9:10 a.m. Chelsea Etienne - Tierney Longo
9:10 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Ashley Lopez - Jada Quintyne
9:30 a.m. – 9:50 a.m. Ayat Rahman - Tianyu (Joe) Zhou
Grooming/Dress regulations for the Ceremony and photo opportunities:
Girls:
• Do not wear the white collars that came with your gown
• Wear appropriate jewelry
• Wear flat or low heeled, comfortable dress shoes. High heels are not recommended as you will be walking through the parking lot. No flip flops, sneakers or boots.
Boys:
• Clean shaven and no earrings
• Wear a collared shirt, tie and dress slacks. No jeans or shorts.
• Wear comfortable dress shoes. No sneakers, flip flops, sandals or boots.
As you can see, the weekend has been dedicated to honoring our Graduates in various ways from Friday through Sunday. We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2020 together with you at these events!
