Physical Education Rules 

HTHS Physical Education Rules

Note: NY State Education Dept. requires all students to be in Physical Education Class.

     Students are required to attend and participate in All scheduled classes.

     Students are required to be in Proper Physical Education Uniform:

• Holy Trinity PE shirt (with name on it)
• Holy Trinity PE shorts (with name on it)
• Socks
• Sneakers with laces that tie
• For Outdoor activity - Sweatshirts and or Sweatpants May be worn Over the gym uniform, Not in place of it.

     ***Students who are unprepared for class 3 times will Fail the class for the quarter.

     Grade is based on attendance and participation, cooperation, safety, knowledge, effort and skill.

     Please be sure to let your teacher know if you have a medical condition (asthma, allergies, diabetes, etc.)

     If you use an inhaler, think of it as part of your gym uniform and have it with you every day.

     PROCEDURE:

• Arrive to class on time
• Change quickly - if unprepared, see your teacher as soon as you enter the locker room
• If Medically excused, present note to teacher - extended Medicals will not change for class
• NO jewelry should be worn during class
• NO gum chewing
• Students have 5 minutes to change - they must remove all jewelry, girls remove stockings for class
• Be in your floor spots by the end of the 5 minutes changing time
• WALK in the locker room and gym when entering or leaving gym area
• DO NOT play on or with any equipment until instructed to do so
• Participate to the best of your ability
• Students will have 5 minutes at the end of class to change.  Do not leave to get changed or leave the gym area until you have been dismissed

     RULES:

• NO food or drink in the locker room or gym area.
• NO cleats on anywhere in the building
• Everyone will have their own lock and locker. NO SHARING
• Sports lockers are for athletes on sports teams and only during their season.  At the end of the season, students must empty sports locker and move into a small locker
• ALL Medicals (extended and day) must present a note.  If it is a Doctor's note, it must have a diagnosis and amount of time the student will be out of Physical Education.  Until further notice is NOT acceptable.
