You can have a lasting impact on the future of Holy Trinity by creating an endowment or by naming the School as a beneficiary of your will, retirement plan, living trust, life insurance policy, or any other arrangement that benefits Holy Trinity High School. Gifts can be unrestricted, or designated for a specific purpose. Planned gifts are a powerful and meaningful way to ensure that Holy Trinity can pursue its mission for generations to come.
Holy Trinity welcomes all members of the Titan community who have included Holy Trinity in their estate plans into The 1966 Society. Membership in the Society unites you with an important group of individuals who have exhibited a strong commitment to the future of Holy Trinity High School.
An excellent way for you to
support Holy Trinity High
School’s mission is to leave a
bequest in your will making a
gift of a specific asset such as real estate, a car, other property, a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your overall estate.
A residual bequest is made from the balance of an estate after the will or trust has distributed to each beneficiary.
A contingent bequest is made only if the purpose of the primary bequest cannot be met. For example, you could leave specific property, such as a home, to a relative, but the bequest language could provide that if the relative is not alive at the time of your death, the home will go to Holy Trinity High School.
A bequest is generally a revocable gift, which means it can be changed or modified at any time. You can choose to designate that a bequest be used for a general or specific purpose so you have the peace of mind knowing that your gift will be used as intended. Bequests are exempt from federal estate taxes. If you have a taxable estate, the estate tax charitable deduction may offset or eliminate estate taxes, resulting in a larger inheritance for your heirs.
In order to make a bequest, you should speak with your attorney. Your attorney can help you include a bequest to Holy Trinity High School in your estate plan. We have provided some basic bequest language to assist you and your attorney.
